What does the Bible say about Children?
God’s Word speaks of the importance and worth of children.
Jesus said that unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me (Matthew 18:4-5 ESV).
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God (1 John 3:1 NIV). Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways (Proverbs 8:32 NIV).

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
Children are a Blessing
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.
Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
