What does the Bible say about Salvation?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16 KJV). Salvation comes only by the grace of God, whereby we are saved from the power of sin (Ephesians 2:8 KJV). Through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins and our faith in Him and repentance, we are given an eternal home in heaven.
God is the source of salvation and referred to as our ‘Saviour’. Jude the Apostle wrote, “To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” (Jude 1:25 KJV) Since God provides salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Paul the Apostle refers to Jesus as our ‘Saviour’ in the Bible, “Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour” (Titus 1:4 KJV).
What is Salvation?
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Our Relationship with God
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
We are God’s Children
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Forgiveness of Sins
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

A Heavenly Home
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel.
